About the Role - Role Overview: DDI/Infoblox Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid - 3 days in office per week)
Pay Rate: $59/hr W2
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with solution architects, operations teams, developers, and fellow engineers to ensure a stable, documented, and supportable DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure.
- Implement automation processes for plant management and testing using tools like Python and Ansible.
- Evaluate and recommend architectural, configuration, or code-level changes to improve system performance and stability.
- Serve as the top-tier escalation point, troubleshooting complex issues by coordinating with infrastructure and application teams.
- Engage with internal clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable infrastructure solutions tailored to business needs.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with large-scale enterprise DDI solutions (preferably Infoblox NIOS or alternatives like BIND, tinydns, ISC DHCP).
- Strong understanding of DNS & DHCP protocols and associated architectural best practices.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, HTTP, and SSL.
- Experience with automation tools for infrastructure management (e.g., Ansible, Python, shell scripting).
- Familiarity with Linux command-line tools and system administration.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications related to Infoblox or other DDI platforms.
- Knowledge of DNS global service load balancing (e.g., F5 GTM, Infoblox DTC).
- Experience with network load-balancing technologies (e.g., F5, Cisco, A10, Arista).
- Familiarity with containerized and virtualized infrastructure setups.
- Proficiency with RESTful web APIs.
- Understanding of version control, deployment tools, and SDLC practices.
